We recommend washing your Casper Original Pillow, Down Pillow, or the cover of your Foam Pillow every 3-6 months—two pillows on average per load. Washing also allows the pillow's fill to properly spread out more so than fluffing alone.
Original Casper Pillow:
Step 1: Unzip the outer pillow and remove the inner pillow.
Step 2: Zip the outer pillow closed.
Step 3: Place both pillow layers into your washing machine (preferably a front-loading one).
Step 4: Wash with cold water and a mild liquid detergent.
Step 5: Tumble dry on low with dryer balls (or clean tennis balls).
Step 6: Confirm the pillow has dried thoroughly, then place the inner pillow inside the outer pillow and zip to close!
NOTE: You can also bypass the wash and go straight to the dryer: first, wet and wring out a hand towel and toss that into your dryer. Then, add the pillow to your dryer for a no-heat, air-dry cycle. The humidity from the hand towel helps fluff the pillow fill. After 20 minutes, remove the pillow and pat it back into shape!
Down Pillow:
Step 1: Use a front-load commercial washer and dryer to machine wash normally with non-chlorine bleach when needed.
Step 2: Tumble dry on low with dryer balls (or clean tennis balls!) to help redistribute fill and absorb extra moisture.
Step 3: Confirm the pillow has dried thoroughly before use.
Foam Pillow:
Step 1: Unzip and remove the cover from your pillow. NOTE: The foam cannot be washed.
Step 2: Machine wash the cover on a cold, delicate cycle.
Step 3: Dry flat - do not put in the dryer.
NOTE: Do not bleach or iron.
