We offer disposal options for previously owned mattresses in our In-Home Delivery & Setup markets. If you are not in those locations, we can give suggestions. If your mattress is still in good condition - without tears or stains - you can check if Salvation Army will pick it up and repurpose it on their website, or you can also refer to a local charity. Also, many cities provide bulk recycling pick-up, as long as your bulky items are wrapped in a plastic furniture bag. All customers in Toronto can leave their old mattresses out on the curb with the rest of their recycling on special disposal days, and the city will take care of it. If you are located elsewhere, we suggest calling your local authorities to see if they have a similar program in place.
If neither of those options is viable, 1-800-GOT-JUNK can do the leg work. While this option isn't free, they will pick up the mattress (and box spring if you're also parting with that), do everything they can to get it repurposed, or otherwise dispose of it safely.
